What is Yoga Nidra?

If you know Yoga Nidra, you'll know that it has such deeply calming and soothing effects on the nervous system and rejuvenates the body like no other practice I know.

If you're not so familiar with Yoga Nidra, you might be thinking

"I'm too [fill in your own blank] to do yoga!"

Please don't fret, this is not yoga like those crazy postures you might have seen on Facebook or Instagram.


Yoga Nidra is the practice of deep rest. You'll find a comfortable place to lie down, usually on a yoga mat  or your own bed and you get really comfy. Let others in your house know what you'll be doing to ensure you wont be disturbed during the practice. It might be an idea to put your pets out of the room but they usually enjoy the peace of Yoga Nidra too. 

Once you get comfy, your only job is to relax and listen to me guide your awareness around your body. There is no movement required. It's your inner awareness that moves as I guide it. I do all the work.

You may be surprised at how deeply rested you feel after the practice. It really is a treat.
